This series of portraits was made during recordings of amateur gay pornography in Lima, a scene that is growing due to the migration of Venezuelan men, generating an option of economic income based on the sexed body. The locations are hotels in the center of the capital, whose characteristics are precariousness and affinity with sex work.
It is worth noting that in Peru there is no gay pornographic industry and the representation of sexual diversity is in decline due to authoritarian conservatism. For sex workers, making a «low cost» gay pornography recording is a showcase to be objects of desire.
However, these sex workers dialogue with the space that surrounds them, with ease and even lavishness, they take possession of the moment, completely forgetting the meaning of «low cost». Thus, they aim to immortalize themselves or earn a space in the desire of a future consumer.
